Poor Things
Emma Stone took home an Oscar for her performance in Poor Things, and we're not surprised about it at all. Directed by The Favourite's Yorgos Lanthimos, it tells the story of a young woman named Bella Baxter who was brought back to life (of sorts) by a rather unorthodox scientist, played by Willlem Dafoe. As Bella starts to feel curious about the world and her own sexuality, she runs away with a lawyer (Mark Ruffalo) to discover herself.

Kinds of Kindness
Loved Poor Things? Kinds of Kindness has perhaps the same kooky energy, tackling different, but no less interesting, topics. Split into three separate fables, Emma Stone, Willem Dafoe, Jesse Plemons and Margaret Qualley star in some seriously weird stories surrounding a cult, a woman who can bring people back from the dead and a policeman who comes to believe his wife isn't who she says she is. Edgy stuff.

All Of Us Strangers
You'll need probably a whole box of tissues for this one. Andrew Scott brings down the house as Adam, who lives alone in a near-empty tower block and finds companionship with his neighbour Harry (Paul Mescal). As their relationship deepens, we see Adam visiting his childhood home 30 years after his parents tragically died. But why is he being drawn back there? No One Will Save You
Have an E.T. the Extra-Terrestrial-shaped void to fill in your life? Well, the new movie No One Will Save You is definitely one to watch. However, the alien invasion does not come in peace in this science fiction horror film, which sees Brynn, a young woman who lives in solitude after being exiled by her community, awaken during the middle of the night to an unearthly intruder. Kaitlyn Dever nails this slick, stylish and terrifying role. A must-watch.
