When is Black Friday 2025?

This year, Black Friday falls on 29th November 2025. However, as the competitiveness of Black Friday deals has risen, we have started to see many deals much earlier in the month, with some starting almost a week before Black Friday itself. The likes of Amazon and Currys are set to have deals as early as 8th November, so keep your eyes peeled for deals from your favourite retailers. 

What is Black Friday?

Black Friday originated in the US and was known for being the huge sale event following Thanksgiving when much of the leftover stock was massively reduced in price. It became known as Black Friday based on the number of accidents that happened during these hectic, in-person sales. Now, with the convenience of shopping online, it is a much safer sale event and has spread across the world. 

What can I buy in the Black Friday sales?

The great news about Black Friday is that a majority of retailers take part to some extent. Largely, though, this is the best time of year to get huge deals on tech and fashion/beauty. Where can I find the best Apple AirPods Black Friday sales?

AirPods have become one of the leading earphones and headphone models since their introduction and for good reason. The AirPods, in their various models, are designed to pair with Apple and come with their signature easy-to-use experience and fashionable design (some people are even using them as accessories on TikTok). With all of this in mind, it is no wonder that people are ready and waiting to get their hands on it. With AirPods Max being almost £500, we aren't surprised that people are hoping to grab it for a discount this Black Friday and Cyber Monday. Here are some of the retailers most likely to slash their prices on all the Apple Airpod models this year:

• Currys: Currys are always competitive with their prices, but especially during the Black Friday sales. Expect to find some big discounts off hundreds of brands across their site, including the standard AirPods, AirPods Pro, and AirPods Max.

What is Cyber Monday?

Cyber Monday is officially the last day of the Black Friday sales event. On this day, people flood online and in-person stores to grab the last remaining big bargains and it was originally created to convince people to shop online (supposedly to prevent some of the infamous Black Friday accidents). Over the years it has become somewhat of a sales event in itself. Now, Cyber Monday often sees some retailers adding additional deals or slashing their prices even further. 

When is Cyber Monday?

Cyber Monday this year will be on Monday 27th November 2025. However, due to the popularity of the sale event, you may see some of the deals extended even past this date. 

Should I buy on Black Friday or wait for the Cyber Monday sales?

People often ask whether they should go ahead and shop for the Black Friday sales when it comes around or whether they should hold off and see if better deals become available on Cyber Monday. Our advice would be to buy on Black Friday if you have found something you've been looking for for a good price. Often, price reductions are not much bigger on Cyber Monday. Plus, there is always the chance that the items you want may run out of stock. So we recommend buying as soon as a good deal pops up.

Will there be Bag and Clothing deals in the Cyber Monday sales?

How do I prepare for the Black Friday and Cyber Monday sales?

You know what they say: fail to prepare and you prepare to fail. Here is our handy step-by-step guide to making sure you're prepared for the sale season ahead:

1. Make a list: It can be easy getting swept up in the sales and you may end up buying things you don't truly want or need. We recommend making a list of products you're interested in before shopping so you don't end up buying things unnecessarily. 

2. Observe prices before the sales: So, you've made your list of items you'd like and you're preparing for the sales. We advise that you take note of the prices of items you're looking to buy before the sale season begins. Some retailers will raise their prices before the big event so that their price reductions look bigger - don't be caught out! 

3. Check the returns: It is a well-known fact that the week following Black Friday is filled with people returning spontaneous buys. So, make sure you check the returns policy before you buy! Don't lose money by overpaying for returns.
