Bleached brows are the controversial beauty trend that's gaining momentum amongst the edgy beauty contingent on TikTok at the moment, where searches for the hashtag #bleachedbrows have over 120 million views. And, never one to shy away from a risque lewk, Kim Kardashian has just joined the fray, breaking the internet once again with a front cover for Interview Magazine which sees her baring her bum (again), and perhaps more strikingly, a pair of white brows.

To make it her own, Kim served up a beauty aesthetic that was heavily '70s inspired, for her American Dream theme, which included Farrah Fawcett flicked hair and a remarkably fluffy brow shape.

The colour and shape of her brows were lighter and bolder than she's attempted previously, since it's not exactly Kim's first foray with the trend. Last year, she bleached her brows temporarily for her Skims campaign, but chose more of a honey tone and a more groomed shape.

She's not the only celeb (or family member) that's made the switch recently either. This year's Met Gala saw Kendall Jenner, Maisie Williams and Precious Lee all rocking the trend. Elsewhere, Lizzo, Julia Fox and Halsey have all given the look their seal of approval over the past year.

But while, erasing your arches can mean losing definition and structure around your eyes, the effect of "rubbing out" your brows? Well, it can draw extra attention to your eyes and lashes pop and change how your face is framed.

How to fake bleached brows

Intrigued, but don't like the commitment of a permanent dye job? There's an easy way to try this without needing to get bleach. All you need is concealer, believe it or not.

As demoed by model Ash Walker on her Insta reels, she says: "Bleaching your brows is a growing trend! How I bleach mine without bleaching them 👀👀✨✨"

Using the iconic YLS Beauty Touché Éclat Pen, she dabs some on the back of her hand then takes a spoolie and runs the product through before combing it into her brows. Ash advises you use the product "lightly" and you can see a subtle difference in her brows, as though they've been gently highlighted. The best part? You can cleanse it off later and take your brows back to normal.

We've seen the hack tried on darker brows too, it just takes a little more layering.
