Carina and Paul

Geoff Magee/Channel 4

Are they still together? No

Carina and Paul's time on Married At First Sight Australia series 12 was… explosive. Their marriage began with a surprising revelation: they had previously dated eight months prior, with Paul ending things after a single date (awkward!)

Despite this, they decided to embrace the experiment, and for a while were one of the strongest couples. However, their relationship took a turn when Carina mentioned a past intimate experience with a rapper, which triggered a strong reaction from Paul and he punched a wall. This incident was heavily criticised by the experts and fellow participants, and rightly so.

The most significant blow to their relationship came when the couples were given the option to meet another potential match chosen by the experts. Despite Carina being totally against it, considering it “borderline cheating”, Paul decided to meet with another bride named Hannah out of "curiosity." This hurt and embarrassed Carina, especially after she had taken him to meet her family in Perth. When Paul returned, Carina was furious, saying that he had cheated and demanding he leave.

At the end of February, the pair were papped together which led media to report that they were still together. But a month on, Paul is now allegedly dating Hannah. Yikes.

Jamie and Dave

Geoff Magee/Channel 4

Are they still together? No

Jamie and Dave's time on Married At First Sight Australia began as a fairy tale, with an instant and intense connection at their wedding. Jamie loved Dave's tattoos and height, while Dave was smitten by Jamie's vibrant personality. They quickly became fan favourites, seeming to be a perfectly matched couple who communicated well and shared similar values, even discussing future plans like having children.

However, things started to fall apart during Confessions Week when Jamie told Dave she was falling in love with him, but he didn't reciprocate (ouch). This left Jamie visibly hurt and questioning the depth of their connection. The situation only got worse during Couple Swap Week, when Dave's time with another bride, Veronica, led him to realise that his feelings for Jamie weren't progressing as he initially thought.

Even with these setbacks, Jamie and Dave chose to stay in the experiment, with Dave expressing a desire to work on their relationship and hoping his feelings would catch up. Despite being such a strong couple on the show, Aussie media sources are reporting that since the show ended, the two have gone their separate ways. Brb, crying.

In fact, Jamie recently revealed that they don't even speak anymore.

Rhi and Jeff

Geoff Magee/Channel 4

Are they still together? Yes

The MAFS experts were obviously feeling feisty when they cast the show this year, as Rhi and Jeff are another couple who already knew each other before meeting at the altar. “We dated for like a month last year,” Rhi told Australian media. "Luckily we ended on really good terms, as we'd both come out of long-term relationships."

Rhi and Jeff have an age gap (Rhi is 34 while Jeff is 39) and are at different life stages, which is something that keeps coming up throughout the experiment. Rhi expressed a desire for adventure and a partner who was readily available for activities, while Jeff, with his established career and more settled routine, wasn't as interested in being impulsive. Communication became a recurring issue, with Rhi feeling that Jeff wasn't always fully present, and Jeff feeling that Rhi's expectations were unrealistic given his stage of life.

Despite their differences, the pair have been spotted “packing on the PDA” as they approach the Final Vows, so it looks promising that they're still together.

Awhina and Adrian

Geoff Magee/Channel 4

Are they still together? No

Awhina and Adrian gave us drama, drama, drama. Their wedding day was filled with excitement, especially with the discovery that they were both twins. But a major hurdle emerged early on when Awhina revealed she is a mother to a six-year-old son, which conflicts with Adrian's preference for a partner without children.

Despite numerous ups and downs, including Adrian briefly leaving the experiment due to a disagreement over a promotional shoot, they ultimately chose to remain together for a significant portion of the experiment. However, Awhina's hesitancy to introduce Adrian to her son, citing the "chaotic" nature of their relationship, spoke volumes about the underlying instability.

The latest on the pair is that Adrian has been making “cheeky” comments on social media, which imply the pair are no longer together. When all the remaining couples were given the chance to meet their ‘back-up matches’, both Awhina and Adrian agreed. Now, it seems Adrian might be with his back-up match, Maxine, instead of Awhina.

Ashleigh and Jake

Geoff Magee/Channel 4

Are they still together? No

Ashleigh and Jake had a great initial attraction, but it all went downhill from there. Their wedding day showed promise, with a visible physical attraction between them, but fundamental differences in their personalities and approaches to the experiment began to surface during the honeymoon.

One major issue that plagued their relationship was their communication style. Ashleigh often said she felt unheard and misunderstood by Jake, feeling like he was being dismissive or not fully engaged in their conversations. Jake, on the other hand, felt overwhelmed by Ashleigh's emotional intensity and struggled to articulate his feelings.

As the experiment progressed, their contrasting lifestyles and goals became more apparent. Ashleigh seemed eager to dive into the experiment and build a deep connection quickly, while Jake was more reserved and less certain about the process. The pressures of the experiment, along with their communication difficulties, created a pretty volatile environment. The couple parted ways and left the experiment in week three.

Beth and Teejay

Geoff Magee/Channel 4

Are they still together? No

Beth and Teejay were introduced as one of the "intruder couples" later in the Married At First Sight Australia 2025 experiment. Their wedding day seemed promising, with an instant connection and mutual attraction. Beth, who had never been in a relationship before, was particularly taken with Teejay, and he seemed equally smitten.

However, their initial spark soon faced challenges, particularly when it came to intimacy, with Beth expressing concern that their physical connection wasn't progressing. During Homestays week, Teejay admitted he felt something was missing and wasn't sure if he could see a future with Beth, leaving her hurt and confused, especially after she had introduced him to her family.

Spoiler alert: Teejay decided to leave and break off the relationship during the final commitment ceremony. Beth told Australian media: “I was super embarrassed… I just remember the feeling in my stomach. It was horrible.” We feel for you girl.

Lauren and Eliot

Geoff Magee/Channel 4

Are they still together? No

Lauren and Eliot's time was surely the most dramatic of the lot. On their honeymoon, the couple faced immense tension and struggled to connect, which led Eliot to make the controversial decision to leave the experiment early. This left Lauren devastated, and viewers shocked.

And the drama didn't end there. Both Lauren and Eliot returned to the show later - with new partners. Lauren was newly paired with Clint, while Eliot began a new chapter with Veronica. Their return sparked an explosive dinner party reunion, where the unresolved issues between them came to the surface.

Lauren, who had hoped to move on with Clint, couldn't hide her discomfort seeing Eliot again. Their reunion became a focal point of the show, and everyone was talking about it. It's safe to say, Lauren and Eliot are definitely not still together.

Katie and Tim

Geoff Magee/Channel 4

Are they still together? No

Katie and Tim's relationship was one of the shortest and most uncomfortable in the show's history. From the moment they met at the altar, it was clear that Tim wasn't attracted to Katie, a fact he made known to producers immediately, stating she was "totally not what he wanted" and that he usually goes for "short, petite, blonde or brunette" women.

This left Katie feeling rejected and humiliated, especially when Tim recoiled from her during wedding photos. Despite a disastrous wedding night where they slept in separate rooms, they still went on a honeymoon in Tasmania. However, the attempts by Katie to connect with Tim were unsuccessful, which wasn't helped by Tim's constant jabs about his physical preferences.

Their relationship reached a breaking point at the first dinner party, when Tim tried to make it seem like he was the one making all the effort, which no one was having. Both Katie and Tim chose to leave the experiment at the first commitment ceremony, marking a quick and unhappy end to their brief marriage. Since the show, Katie has expressed feeling "sorry" for Tim and is focusing on self-love and personal growth, while Tim has faced significant backlash for his behaviour and has even reportedly lost his job.

Sierah and Billy

Geoff Magee/Channel 4

Are they still together? No

Sierah and Billy began with a strong connection at their wedding, with both expressing excitement and a shared sense of humour. However, their relationship hit a roadblock during Intimacy Week, when Sierah felt a lack of physical connection, while Billy described himself as a "slow burn" and wanting a deeper emotional connection first.

The major turning point in their relationship came when Sierah developed a close bond with another groom, Adrian, confiding in him about personal matters she hadn't shared with Billy. This led to accusations of flirting, including an incident where they were seen playing footsie under the table at a dinner party. Billy felt betrayed by Sierah's secrecy and the emotional intimacy she shared with Adrian. Adrian has since denied that anything happened between them, telling Yahoo: "There absolutely wasn't anything going on between me and Sierah. It was the dumbest thing."

But, ultimately, this breakdown of trust led to the end of their relationship. At the final commitment ceremony, both Sierah and Billy chose to leave the experiment. Billy expressed that he felt he had given a lot to the relationship but hadn't received the deeper connection he desired from Sierah.

They have reportedly parted ways, with their departure airing in Australia after a difficult session with the experts. Since leaving the show, Billy has been seen spotted spending time with a former MAFS bride, Lauren.

Morena and Tony

Geoff Magee/Channel 4

Are they still together? No

Morena and Tony are the oldest couple in season 12 of MAFS Australia, something that has been a big part of their experience. Tony claimed he entered the show looking for someone to “grow young” with. While Morena said: "I don't want to grow old alone. I still believe in love and I can't wait to feel love and to love. I want to meet somebody to match my energy."

The wedding day seemed to go well, but soon after Tony admitted he didn't feel an immediate connection and revealed his desire for children, a point of contention with Morena, who has already had a family. Tensions escalated during Intimacy Week, leading to Tony temporarily leaving the experiment.

Family and Friends Week further strained their relationship. Tony's revelation that he wanted a younger bride to have children created significant tension, as Morena felt disrespected and unheard, accusing Tony of being emotionally unavailable. The couple's communication issues and differing expectations became increasingly apparent, with Morena expressing her frustration with Tony's behaviour.

Ultimately, Morena and Tony decided to leave the experiment. Since their departure, reports have surfaced that, allegedly, Tony was still legally married during filming, a fact that supposedly caused further conflict and mistrust in their already fragile relationship.

Jacqui and Ryan

Geoff Magee/Channel 4

Are they still together? No

Jacqui entered the experiment with hopes of finding her ideal partner, but was immediately taken aback upon meeting Ryan at the altar. She openly admitted that his physical appearance wasn't what she had in mind, and she felt he lacked the assertiveness she was looking for in a husband.

Moments like the Photo Ranking Challenge exposed underlying insecurities and communication issues between the couple, while Intimacy Week further complicated matters, revealing differing expectations and habits. The strain on their relationship became obvious during the Homestays, when a heated argument between Jacqui and Ryan's friends made everyone uncomfortable.

In a move that broke the show's usual protocol of maintaining secrecy until the season finale, Jacqui took to Instagram to announce their separation. In fact, she revealed she had moved on and was in a new relationship with Clint, another groom from the show. Drama!

Lauren and Clint

Geoff Magee/Channel 4

Are they still together? No

Lauren's experience on MAFS was unusual as she was given a second chance at love after her initial disastrous pairing with Eliot. Matched with Clint, a professional golfer, Lauren approached the experiment with a mix of scepticism and optimism.

Their wedding day was pleasant enough, with Clint appearing genuinely happy, while Lauren remained reserved but open. They navigated the initial stages of their marriage reasonably well, with no major conflicts arising immediately. However, as they progressed through the experiment and faced challenges like Intimacy Week and the Couples' Retreat, underlying differences in their personalities and expectations began to surface.

Lauren, known for her strong opinions and sometimes abrasive communication style, occasionally clashed with Clint's more laid-back demeanour. While they shared some light-hearted moments, a deep romantic connection seemed elusive for Lauren, who often voiced concerns about Clint not being "alpha" enough for her.

Ultimately, despite their efforts, Lauren and Clint decided to leave the experiment, acknowledging that while they had built a friendship, a romantic future wasn't on the cards. However, their story took a surprising turn after the show, as Clint embarked on a relationship with Jacqui, who was initially married to Ryan.

Veronica and Eliot

Geoff Magee/Channel 4

Are they still together? No

Eliot, having already experienced a brief and disastrous marriage with Lauren, was given a second chance with Veronica, a personal trainer and actress. Their wedding day went smoothly, and they appeared to connect, with Veronica showing empathy when Eliot shared his previous experience on the show. Their honeymoon also started positively, with Veronica opening up about her endometriosis.

However, their relationship took a turn at the first dinner party when Eliot discussed his previous marriage with Lauren, leaving Veronica unimpressed with his behaviour. Further cracks appeared when Veronica got advice from Lauren about Eliot, which he felt was a betrayal.

In the end, the constant arguments and differing perspectives led to the end of their relationship. At their sixth commitment ceremony, both Veronica and Eliot chose to leave. Veronica stated that it felt like "drawing blood from a stone" with Eliot, while Eliot felt that Veronica had been dishonest during their time together.

Clint and Jacqui

Nine/Channel 4

Are they still together? Yes

Surprise! Clint and Jacqui may not have found love with their partners on the show, but, apparently, they found love with each other.

The couple revealed their relationship during a viewing party reunion, which has already aired over in Australia.

As Clint explained to Yahoo!, he was immediately attracted to Jacqui when he saw her in the promo material for the show. Jacqui also thought he seemed “cool” when she met him at the first dinner party.

After the final vows, the pair started dating — they revealed their relationship at the reunion. Apparently, they now live together in Tansania and are starting a joint business. At a Reunion party, Clint popped the question and the pair are now engaged.
